Hot Baked Walleye Sandwich

A spicy new twist on a fish sandwich, takes just a few minutes to prepare, and about 20 minutes to cook.

2 Fresh Caught Walleye FilletsWalleyeSandwich
½ onion, sliced or chopped small
1 Roma tomato, sliced thin
3 cloves fresh garlic, sliced thin
1T flour
¼ t Black Pepper
1 t Cumin
1 t Paprika
1 t Chili Powder
¼ C Tartar Sauce
½ C shredded Mexican Cheese
2 Big Brat Buns
1 lime
  1. Shake fish fillets in a baggie with the flour and spices to cover.  Lay on lightly greased foiled pan.
  2. Cover with the onion, garlic and tomato.
  3. Place a sheet of foil on top.
  4. Cook at 375 for 15-20 minutes.  Fish is done when it is white and flaky.
  5. Cover brat buns with tartar sauce
  6. Place 1 fish fillet on each bun
  7. Arrange the tomato, onion and garlic across each fish fillet
  8. Sprinkle half the cheese on each sandwich
  9. Squeeze ½ of the lime on top of each fillet, and serve with chips

Makes 2 Sandwiches
